Allegan All-Sports Booster Club is proud to present TRI Allegan 2012! Allegan’s second annual sprint triathlon to be held on Tuesday, July 24th at 6:10 pm at Littlejohn Lake Park. Like last year our goal is to help raise money for the Allegan All-Sports Booster Club to help support our Middle School and High School athletic programs and athletes, while also promoting health and fitness not only within our community but the surrounding area as well.
With potential budget cuts to our schools, our athletic program is in jeopardy of being cut as well; therefore, it is the mission of the Booster Club to assist where shortfalls may occur. What better fundraiser than a triathlon – raising money for athletic programs, encouraging the community to participate in fitness, and inviting our local athletes to either participate in or volunteer at the event. We are expecting a very good turnout for this Triathlon with many athletes and spectators attending.
